I research in health law and intellectual property law focusing on the intersection of right to health and trademark rights. I am a lecturer in the Department of Legal Studies at the Open University of Sri Lanka. Currently, I engage in my PhD studies at the Law School at the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. My areas of academic research include global health law, tobacco plain packaging and tobacco control, trademarks, intellectual property and right to health, geographical indications and third world perspectives of international law.
